Malek Jaziri carved a distinguished path in professional tennis with his strategic play and resilience. Turning professional in 2003, Jaziri primarily competed on the Futures and Challenger circuits before making significant strides on the ATP Tour. Jaziri reached the third round of the Australian Open in 2015 and 2017, marking the first time an Arab male tennis player advanced to the third round of a Grand Slam in over a decade. He achieved a career-high singles ranking of World No. 42 on January 7, 2019.


His career features multiple wins against top 10 opponents, including victories over world No. 4 Grigor Dimitrov at the 2018 Dubai Tennis Championships and world No. 5 Alexander Zverev at the 2018 China Open. A stalwart member of the Tunisia Davis Cup team since 2000, Jaziri amassed a singles record of 33–15 and a doubles record of 10–14 across 41 ties, showcasing his commitment to national representation. Jaziri announced his retirement from professional tennis in February 2023.
