TEAM SOLINCO EASTER BOWL RESULTS
The third and final tournament to grace the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in March is the Easter Bowl, held after the Pro Masters 1000 and the ITF J300 International junior event.
Each year, hundreds of junior elite players, ages 12 to 18, compete for the coveted Gold Ball in their age group.
This year, Team Solinco saw four championship gold ball victories in two age groups. Congratulations to Andrew Johnson and Bella Payne on their Gold Ball sweep in both singles and doubles. Team Solinco athletes also secured 7 silver and bronze ball wins across three age divisions. Here’s a quick rundown of the results:
Boys 12s Results
Congratulations to 12-year-old Nathan Lee who won a silver ball! From Tustin, California, Nathan is a blue chip powerhouse who we look forward to watching grow in his tennis journey. Racquet: Whiteout 290. String: Tour Bite.
12-year-old Rex Kulman clinched the Bronze Ball after a hard fought battle against James Borchard. String: Hyper-G Soft.
Boys 14s Results
Andrew Johnson achieved a tournament sweep, winning the Gold Ball in singles and doubles this year. The No. 2 seed has dominated Boys 14s competition for the last three months, raising the trophy at the Junior Orange Bowl in December and the Winter Nationals in January. Andy lost only four games in his last three matches leading up to the Easter Bowl final. Racquet: Whiteout 305 XTD. String: Tour Bite Diamond Rough.

Safir Azam won the Bronze Ball in Boys 14s singles. String: Hyper-G.

Girls 14s Results
Raina Kim won the bronze ball in the girls 14 doubles bracket. String: Hyper-G.
Girls 16s Results
Bella Payne mirrored Andrew Johnson’s success with a sweep in singles and doubles, adding two Gold Balls to her record. String: Hyper-G.
Girls 18s Results
Congratulations to Daniela Borruel who clinched the Silver Ball in the Girls 18s singles bracket! Daniela had a fantastic run to the final, battling in every match and spending over three hours on court in her semifinal match up against the No. 2 seed, Addison Lanton. Borruel has been a part of Team Solinco since the age of 12 and is currently using the Blackout 300 and Tour Bite. She has verbally committed to play for USC in the fall.
