Team Solinco’s Rising Stars: Jack Kennedy and Andrew Johnson Continue Their Breakthrough Seasons
—
The next generation of American tennis is already making its presence felt, and two of the biggest names leading that charge are Jack Kennedy (17) and Andrew Johnson (16). Both players have rapidly climbed the junior and professional ranks this season, displaying modern playing styles defined by explosive power, composed court presence, and a fearless new-generation confidence from the baseline.
Both Kennedy and Johnson hold the No. 1 and No. 2 spots among top UTR-ranked juniors in the United States — with Kennedy leading at 13.84 and Johnson close behind at 13.83. As part of Team Solinco, Kennedy and Johnson represent a new wave of players embracing the demands of today’s game while continuing to develop at an impressive pace. Here’s a look at some of their biggest moments in 2026.
Jack Kennedy’s Momentum Builds

At just 17 years old, Jack Kennedy has already established himself as one of the top junior players in the world. Kennedy reached a current ITF junior ranking of No. 5 and has continued translating that success onto the professional stage throughout 2026.
This spring marked a major breakthrough when he captured his first professional title at the M15 event in Boca Raton before making deep runs at both the Tallahassee Challenger and Savannah Challenger.
His performance in Savannah drew national attention after he defeated former world No. 4 Kei Nishikori en route to reaching his first ATP Challenger final, becoming the first player born in 2008 to accomplish the feat.

Kennedy’s game is built around explosive shot-making and aggressive baseline play, a style that pairs naturally with his setup featuring an unreleased Solinco racquet and Hyper-G. Known for its blend of spin and controlled feel, the full Solinco setup complements Kennedy’s ability to generate heavy pace while maintaining precision in high-pressure moments.
Andrew Johnson’s Rapid Rise

Andrew Johnson’s development this year has been equally impressive. The 16-year-old American entered 2026 already regarded as one of the country’s top junior prospects and has continued accelerating that momentum on both the junior and professional circuits.
Johnson owns five ITF junior singles titles and climbed to a career-high junior world ranking inside the Top 20, reaching No. 15 earlier this year.
His transition into professional tennis has been especially notable. In February, Johnson captured his first professional title at the M15 event in Sunrise, Florida, becoming the youngest player since Carlos Alcaraz to win an ITF World Tennis Tour men’s singles title at that age milestone.

Johnson’s game blends athletic movement with heavy topspin and controlled aggression from the baseline. Also competing with the unreleased Solinco racquet, his setup features a full bed of Solinco Tour Bite Diamond Rough. Known for its crisp response and sharp bite, Tour Bite Diamond Rough complements Johnson’s aggressive style by maximizing spin potential while still allowing him to swing freely with confidence.
Built for the Modern Game
What makes both Kennedy and Johnson especially exciting is how naturally their games fit the modern era of tennis. Heavy spin, aggressive court positioning, and explosive racket head speed have become essential components at every level of the sport, and both players continue to show an ability to thrive in that environment.
Their progress this season reflects not only strong results, but also long-term potential. From junior Grand Slam success to ATP Challenger breakthroughs and professional titles, both players continue to take significant steps forward in their development.
As Team Solinco continues supporting emerging talent across the sport, Kennedy and Johnson stand out as two of the brightest young players to watch moving forward.
