Austin Krajicek is the Roland Garros Doubles Champion; Rises to Men’s Doubles World No. 1

Team Solinco congratulates Austin Krajicek on his epic double-time achievement as the 2023 Roland Garros Doubles Champion and the new Men’s Doubles World Number 1. Krajicek has been a part of Team Solinco for seven years and plays with Tour Bite Diamond Rough.

“It is hard to put into words what it means. Since I was 5 it’s been a dream of mine to win a grand slam and be number 1. It means so much, especially doing it again in Paris where we had such a tough final last year.” – Austin Krajicek

Krajicek and partner, Ivan Dodig, came incredibly close to clinching the Roland Garros championship last year. In the end, they fell short in a closely contested match that saw opponents Marelo Arevalo and Jean-Julien Roger save three championship points.

“After last year we wanted nothing more than to take it one step further and finish the job. Tennis is such a unique sport where you can have the best week of your career like we had at the French Open in 2022, then after the final be so devastated at the same time. I really try to just focus on the tactics for each match and play them one at a time, which is cliche, but really it’s the only way to approach it.” -Austin Krajicek

Krajicek represented Team USA in the 2020 Summer Olympics, showcasing his talent on the global stage. With an impressive tally of 42 titles, including four ATP titles in Men’s singles, he has now added the illustrious Roland Garros Championship to his resume.

For the past seven years, Solinco and Krajicek have maintained a strong partnership, working closely to fine-tune his string setup.

“I have used Tour Bite Diamond rough for a very long time. It is a fantastic string and I love the grab I get on the ball. It’s been the only string I’ve really felt comfortable with at all levels and conditions regardless of whether it’s on grass or the slowest clay court. A lot of the other polys I tried back in the day also gave me some arm issues and with the Tour Bite Rough I’ve never had an issue.” – Austin Krajicek

Now, his partnership with Solinco has culminated in a grand slam victory. Looking ahead, Krajicek’s focus is firmly fixed on the grass court season and the next major tournament.

“We are very excited for the grass court swing coming up and it has always been a dream of mine to win Wimbledon. And of course one of our major goals is to make the year end championships in Turin this November. Regardless, we will keep putting in the work and striving to improve!” – Austin Krajicek
